LESSONS MAY INCLUDE:

  1. Music Theory – Foundational understanding and connection of “why” and “how” in the composition and structure of all music, not just the “piano.” Review of weekly theory assignments and flash card drills.   Students age 5-12 may also spend time during lessons working with the Music Ace computer program for additional building of theory skills and knowledge.
  2. Drill and Skill – Building technique, strength, and dexterity, and practicing sight-reading.
  3. Keyboard Time – Building enjoyable play time and performance ability.

ACCOMPANYING/COACHING:

For voice lessons, typically one 30-minute lesson and one 30-minute rehearsal per week.  Additional time can be scheduled on an as needed basis.

REFERRAL BONUS: For every new student that is referred to me by a current student/parent, if that new student continues lessons with me beyond their trial lesson, the current student/parent will receive a bonus credit of one free lesson for each successful referral.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Students are expected to provide notification of a cancellation at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time, except in cases of illness, accident, death in the family or other emergency.  If teacher needs to cancel, the same consideration will be shown to the student.  If 24 hours’ notice is not provided, students will be billed for the lesson.  Make-up lessons can be scheduled at teacher’s discretion.
